Utilizing more than 20 years of experience in commercial aquaculture Mountain Aquatics has developed a pond filter that overcomes the problems common to most biofilters.

Mechanical ... stage 1

Biological ... stage 2

    Filtration of solids is complished by a fine foam material prior to the water entering the biological media.
   The foam pad is easily removed and washed with a hose.    Coarse woven mats provide a biological media with the following characteristics:
   a. high surface area to volume ratio (192 sq.ft. / cu.ft.)
   b. large open areas between fibers that minimize clogging and channelization
   c. easy removal for cleaning.

The Dualfilt is designed to be installed above the pond or waterfall making it simple to service.

The low profile makes theDualfilt easy to conceal with stones, mulch or shrubbery.
